Grandpa meets Baby Lauren.............

Grandpa Doug was here visiting this past week and got to meet his little girl for the first time.  Of course she was as good as gold and had Grandpa amazed that a baby could be so good.  Dawson had fun with Grandpa too - he loves to show him all his toys and this visit it the most exciting because he got to show him all the ghosts in his room - oh yes mommy has already decorated for Halloween.

Our Pretty Little Girl..................

Lauren and Emma

Lauren got to play with her friend Emma a couple weeks ago - and loved every minute.....although I think Emma loved it more.  Emma was very sweet and gentle with Lauren - a little mommy in the making.

Two Peas in a Pod!

Always Something to Say..............

Tonight was the first time that Dawson talk (at length) to his Aunt Helen on the phone.  He told her everything.....from wanting to catch Peter Pan in a cage to the chipmunck that was in Poppi and Nanni's bathroom two months ago!  The best part was how he was dressed....doesn't everyone dress like a pirate in camo rain boots when they talk on the phone?
This one is for you Alphin Girls!  I hope tomorrow is a better day! We Love You!

The Pirate says............ARGGGGG!

This summer Nanni took us to the Richfield Community Days parade to see our very first Pirate Ship.  Dawson loved the parade especially his ride in the Pirate Ship but I think it was the candy he collected that he talked about for days after.  The thought of people just throwing candy at him was the most exciting thing EVER!!  I think that night he did just have candy for dinner.

Best Friends Forever!

Lauren and Anna's first photo-shoot together!

A little thing called love........its all in the look!

3 Months and growing..........

Our little Pepperkin is three months old and we couldn't imagine life without her.  She is such a joy.......sleeps 10 to 12 hours a night and rarely cries!  I think I might call her PERFECT!!!  She has a sweet personality and lights up the room with her smile.  We are excited to watch her grow and learn more about her personality.... she is a blessing!

Look out Miss Ann and Miss Alisa.............

September 3, 2008 Dawson got to meet his new teachers Miss Ann and Miss Alisa.  It was a very exciting morning as he reminded us that he was a big boy.....it was also the day that Miss Alisa knew that she was going to have her hands full with this one.......We were in the hall waiting our turn to go into the classroom when Dawson turned to Daddy, Poppi, and I and said that his teacher (Miss Alisa) had very beautiful hair............he is a charmer!  I knew then he was going to be ok, although didn't stop me from crying on the 5th when we left him there for his first real day.  So far he seems to like it and we haven't had a note sent home in his backpack yet.

The story of our Pirate and his Pepperkin...

It wasn't to long ago that Dawson loved nothing but dinosaurs until the one day Mommy spent $5 at Target on a few Pirate pieces.....a hook, sword, vest, hat, and the all favorite eye patch!  From that day on all he wanted to do was be a pirate.  Now you ask were did Pepperkin come from well we shall point credit to KiKi and her big book of poems.....thats were Dawson fell in love with the poem about Pirate Don Durk of Dowdee.  Pepperkin is Don Durk's parrot and somehow it as caught on has Lauren's nickname.....saddly to say she responds better to Pepperkin than she does Lauren......we will get nervous if she can spell her nickname before her real name!
This is where our blog begins Dawson almost 4 years old and Lauren 3 months old..........I hope you enjoy reading about what our Pirate and Pepperkin are up too as much as we do.
